At Tahoe City’s The Balcony: Romantic flights of fancy

Feathers have been used to decorate and insulate people since the dawn of humans. The use of feathers in clothing and hair for sacred rituals is well-known among many cultures, including many native American tribes. Only certain types of feathers may be used for hair extensions, and the most typical are from the pheasant. These can be dyed brilliant colors or left alone for a natural look.
