Attorney Warren Sinsheimer To Speak on Charitable Giving at the Resort at Squaw Creek

Sierra Planned Giving Council, Truckee Tahoe Community Foundation, and the Tahoe Truckee Bar Association have teamed up to bring Warren A. Sinsheimer of Sinsheimer, Schiebelhut and Baggett, to speak to the community on estate planning and current law. Attorneys, CPAs, financial advisors, stockbrokers, non-profit executives and others who work with clients on estate planning and charitable giving, as well as those interested in learning more about giving back to the Tahoe region, are encouraged to attend. Mr. Sinsheimer will present on Wednesday, May 8th, at the beautiful Resort at Squaw Creek in Olympic Valley.

Sinsheimer practices law in San Luis Obispo, specializing in trust and estate planning and administration, taxation and charitable giving. As Chair of the Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law Section of the State Bar of California, he will share his knowledge of the recent changes in state and federal law about estate planning and pending legislation. He will also advise participants on how to talk with their clients or donors about philanthropy and planned giving, as well as give examples of creative charitable giving that maximize benefits to clients.

“Today, more than ever, philanthropy plays a key role in many people’s estate plans,” say Sinsheimer. “The program on May 8 is an exciting opportunity to help the Truckee Tahoe Community Foundation and its supporting professional community develop and maintain skills in both philanthropy and estate planning.”

“The SPGC is pleased and honored to have Mr. Sinsheimer share his thoughts and knowledge on the issues of planned giving with us,” says Kelley Carroll, Vice President of the Sierra Planned Giving Council. “We expect his talk to be informative and useful in helping SPGC members, and the local bar association, assist our clients and donors in achieving their philanthropic goals.”

Sinsheimer lectures regularly on taxes, probate, trusts and estate planning for California Continuing Education of the Bar, the State Bar of California and for other professional and civic groups. He is an elected Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, and was one of the founders and first president of the Estate Planning Council of San Luis Obispo County. He is also a member of the Central Coast Planned Giving Council. Sinsheimer earned his law degree from Boalt Hall School of Law, University of California at Berkeley.
