Boys andamp; Girls Club of North Lake Tahoe celebrates Thanksgiving with community friends

KINGS BEACH andamp;#8212; At its annual Thanksgiving Family Dinner Night, Club kids, board members and staff prepared and served more than 350 meals to community families and friends. A menu of traditional turkey, ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, vegetables and pumpkin dessert was prepared in the Club’s professional kitchen. There was much excitement around the raffle that awarded fun children’s prizes. Upcoming events: Dec. 16: Family Dinner Night, 5-7 p.m., BGCNLT staff chili cook-offDec. 20-21: Club open for winter break, 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m.Dec. 24 and 31: Club closedJan. 20: BGCNLT Fine Arts Exhibit, Sierra Nevada CollegeOngoing Programs: Through Nov. 30: Chop-Shop, Mondays and Wednesdays youths can learn new recipes, techniques and enjoy the kitchen in one of our more popular programs. First and second grades Mondays, third through sixth grades on Wednesday.Through Nov. 30: Sign up for youth basketballThrough Nov. 30: OM Yoga for Kinders, fun yoga class for kindergarten aged children, every Tuesday, 1-1:50 p.m. Class fee $60.
