TAHOE CITY, Calif. and#8212; On Tuesday, March 27, Tahoe Lakeand#8217;s families and students packed the gym for the inaugural Family Science Night. Led by SWEP, students and parents got their hands on a wide array of science experiments including learning about the Tahoe watershed, electricity, the brain, volume and mass, dry ice bubbles, magnetic forces, and the human skeleton. Students even became chemists to create their own green silly putty. The Reno Brain Institute brought a human brain that students could hold and examine as well as high powered microscopes for further examination. UC Davis/TERC Americorps volunteers also had a learning station.
