Caring About Kids day April 11

Youth carry with them an ambition for knowledge and skill. You can help surface these interests by becoming a mentor.

Caring About Kids is a mentoring and youth advocacy organization dedicated to building a caring community.

Last year, Caring About Kids supported more than 750 young people in mentoring relationships, delivering 20,000 volunteer hours.

Attend our upcoming mentor training Wednesday, April 11, in the North Tahoe area. Fingerprinting and light dinner are from 5:30 to 6 p.m., and training from 6 to 9 p.m.

Sharing your passions can provide an outlet to curious youngsters who would value your teaching, friendship, and example. As a mentor, you set your own level of involvement, and Caring About Kids will support you having a meaningful mentoring experience. Adults are able to open young eyes to the positive elements of self-esteem, enthusiasm, love, respect and wisdom that are inherent in every young person.

Caring About Kids also directs the CASA program. The role of the Court Appointed Special Advocates is to represent the best interest of a child as an officer of the court.

Free training on all issues is provided by Caring About Kids.
