Carnelian Bay 7-Eleven at Lake Tahoe to host ‘Hot Cocoa Weekend’
TAHOE, Calif. – High Fives Non-Profit Foundation, has continued its partnership with 7-Eleven at the Carnelian Bay location, 5075 North Lake Blvd., through the upcoming Hot Cocoa Weekend. From Jan. 19-21, all customers who purchase hot cocoa at the Carnelian Bay 7-Eleven will help support the High Fives Foundation through the local store’s donation of 55¢ per hot cocoa sold.
Dan Sanderman, owner of the 7-Eleven Carnelian Bay store said, “The work that the High Fives Foundation does helps to solidify the Lake Tahoe community and beyond through the power of positivity. By hosting the High Fives Hot Cocoa Weekend my goal is to further a sense of community by providing a way for valued customers to not only warm up with a great cup of hot cocoa, but also donate to a great cause!”
To date, High Fives has dispersed $621,000 in three distinct program services. The Winter Empowerment Fund, the CR Johnson Healing Center and B.A.S.I.C.S. represent the three program services of the Foundation in which athletes, community members and winter sports enthusiasts are served, healed and educated. The focus of the High Fives Foundation has touched many people in the Lake Tahoe region and across the United States in the last couple of years.
Recently, the High Fives Foundation was able to reach the $1 million milestone through generous supporters and an un-ending desire to keep moving forward positively.
