Celebrate the harvest season in Tahoe City and Olympic Valley
TAHOE CITY, Calif. and#8212; The Tahoe City PUD Parks and Recreation Department will hold its annual Harvest Festival and Pumpkin Patch Saturday, Oct. 22, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. This family event is the wrap up to the Tahoe City Downtown Associationand#8217;s yearly Oktoberfest.
The Harvest Festival and Pumpkin Patch will be held at Rideout Community Center, 740 Timberland Lane, Tahoe City. The Tahoe City Recreation Department and hosting associations planned an event full of games, pony rides, arts and crafts, food and the and#8220;Pumpkin Seedand#8221; hunt. Men Wielding Fire will be have a fabulous barbecue lunch available for purchase. All inclusive activity bracelets will be sold which includes the inaugural Haunted House.

The Resort at Squaw Creek will hold an October Harvest Festival through Oct. 23 featuring bluegrass music, a pumpkin display, hayrides, pumpkin painting, snapping for apples, glow ball golf, autumn-themed spa treatments, harvest brew and bratwurst specials in Sandyand#8217;s Pub and winemaker dinner in Six Peaks Grille, the festival offers something for the entire family. A discounted and#8220;Harvest Festival Getawayand#8221; lodging rate of $139 per room, per night is available, subject to availability.
From 5-7 p.m. Oct. 21, during the festival welcome reception, the Slide Mountain Band will entertain guests with their bluegrass tunes.
