Climber Conrad Anker and wife Jenni Lowe-Anker to present at Squaw Valley Institute

OLYMPIC VALLEY, Calif. and#8212; One of the worldand#8217;s greatest rock climbers and mountaineers Conrad Anker will present at a Squaw Valley Institute event Saturday, Feb. 4, 6-9 p.m. at the Resort at Squaw Creek.

Credited with discovering legendary British explorer Malloryand#8217;s body on Everest in 1999, which became the subject of the 2010 IMAX film and#8220;The Wildest Dream,and#8221; starring Anker and famous for his challenging ascents in the Himalayas and Antarctica, Conrad will present with his wife Jenni Lowe-Anker, artist and author, on the subject of and#8220;exploring the connections between individual spirit, family, philanthropy and adventure.and#8221;

The Lowe-Anker family collaborates on several global humanitarian and environmental causes, including the climbing school in Nepal founded to increase the safety margin of Nepali climbers, as well as the Magic Yeti Library; both promoted under the name of the Alex Lowe Charitable Foundation.

In an interview published in the Big Sky Journal, Anker said, and#8220;Humans have a physical need for discovery.and#8221; Designed for an audience of all ages, this evening promises discoveries on many levels. Families are encouraged to bring their children.
