Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage kicks off annual Toys for Tots campaign

TAHOE CITY, Calif. – Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage will celebrate its 26th consecutive year as a participant in the United States Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots Campaign. Along with the four Tahoe-Truckee Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage offices, many local businesses will serve as toy collection stations for new, unwrapped toys from now until Dec. 14. Coldwell Banker’s goal this year is to collect 1,500 toys for local children in need. The Truckee toy distribution will take place at various agencies and dates. Please come out to one of the scheduled events and have fun while helping our less fortunate children in need.”Community parties announcedThe public is invited to attend any one of the four Toys for Tots community parties outlined below. Entry to the event will be a donation of a new unwrapped toy for a newborn child up to 17-years-old. For children ages 13-17, suggested items might include books, school supplies, make up, science projects, soccer balls and nets, board games, curling irons, blow dryers, backpacks, etc. You can also offer a monetary donation for entry with checks payable to Toys for Tots Tahoe-Truckee.The first event will be held Nov. 30, 5-8 p.m. at Sunnyside Resort and Lodge, 1850 West Lake Blvd., Tahoe City. Free appetizers, desserts, cocoa, and refreshments will be served. Santa will be present for photos and hand out candy canes. The second party will be held on Dec. 7, 7-10 p.m. (adults only) at Rosie’s Caf, 571 North Lake Blvd., Tahoe City. Discounted appetizers and cocktails will be offered. There will be card and board games to play throughout the evening. Contact Rosie’s at 530-583-8504. The third event will be held on Dec. 10 at Zano’s Family Italian & Pizzeria, 11401 Donner Pass Road, Truckee, 530-587-7411. Enjoy live music, pizza, salads, candy canes, cocoa, and desserts. Santa will be present for photos. This event is in conjunction with The Truckee-Donner Chamber of Commerce. The fourth party will be held on Dec. 12, 5:30-8 p.m. at The River Ranch Lodge, Highway 89 and Alpine Meadows Road, 530-583-4264. Discounted appetizers, free s’mores, cookies and, cocoa will be served, along with half price on dinners and $3 cocktails.
