KINGS BEACH – Club Chop Shop participants Mariela Lazcano, Madison Wallner, Athena Collier and Hector Vera catered their first dinner for a local family – Mr. and Mrs. Busse of Incline Village. They made a four-course meal at the Busse’s house with the help of Christin Wilcox, the Club Chef, and Chef Jacob Bird. Diners and kids had a wonderful time learning about fine dining and food! You too will be able to purchase a dinner prepared by Chop Shop – if you attend the Tahoe City Rotary’s Dinner and Auction Oct. 2, 2010. A dinner for four will be up for bids as well as numerous other wonderful items. Proceeds from the night will benefit the Boys and Girls Club of North Lake Tahoe. For information, call the Club at 546-4324.Calling all kids!If you want to try some of the delicious treats that Chef Christin prepares, you can come by the Club any weekday to do so. All children in the North Tahoe Truckee area can come to the Club for a delicious and nutritious free after-school supplemental snack. Membership is not required. Kindergartners are served from 2:20 p.m. daily and first through 12th graders from 3:45-4:05 p.m. Call Christin Wilcox at 530.546.4324 for details.” – Submitted to aedgett@sierrasun.com
