Contractors congregate to celebrate holidays
If youre looking for a contractor to build your dream house, there were plenty of them to choose from recently the Contractors Association of Truckee Tahoes (CATT) Christmas holiday party recently at the Resort at Squaw Creek.
About 340 guests came for dinner, a live and silent auction, dancing to The Bystanders and to honor those who have excelled in the local building industry in the past year.
Truckees Mark Tanner of his eponymous company was awarded the builder of the year award. Others nominated for builder of the year included John Corda Construction, Steve Isbell Construction, Rich Loverde Builders, Joe Morris of GLA Morris Construction, and Bruce Olson Construction.
Special awards were also given to Griggs Custom Homes for its Russell Valley Sheep Camp Fence project for the public works/recreation project of the year, East West Partners and Robert Marr Construction for the Sunset Idea House for Alternative building methods project of the year, MWA Architects for The Rock development for commercial project of the year, M.D. Construction andamp; Consulting for 12565 Settlers Lane, Old Greenwood for residential project of the year, Kurt Westerlund of Advanced Framework for volunteer of the year, Cris Yturri of ABC Supply for supplier of the Year, architect Dennis Zirbel for professional of the year, and Steve Kane of A.C. Electric for subcontractor of the year.
