CR Johnson benefit birthday raft trip announced

The CR Johnson Healing Center, the High Fives Non-Profit Foundation and IRIE Rafting Co. present the CR Johnson Birthday Rafting Trip, Friday, Aug. 10. The day will begin at the IRIE Rafting Co. headquarters (11253 Brockway Road, Ste. 103, Truckee at The Rock) at 8:30 a.m. and conclude in the afternoon at the CR Johnson Healing Center (10775 Pioneer Trail, Ste. 108, Truckee).

The day will include a Class II-III+ whitewater rafting trip on the lower Truckee River (Boca to Floriston) followed by a catered lunch from Full Belly Deli at the CR Johnson Healing Center.

Local professional skier CR Johnson was born on Aug. 10, 1983 and enjoyed an amazing career in the freeskiing community until his passing on Feb. 24, 2010. His incredible energy led to a legacy of positivity and a sense of community embodied in the CR Johnson Healing Center.
