Create, explore, discover at the Cedar House

TAHOE/TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212;-This fall, an inaugural art retreat will be held Oct. 6-9 attracting those who aspire for more creativity in their lives to gather among talented instructors and let their inner gifts abound at the Cedar House Sport Hotel in Truckee.

From painting to photography to embroidery illustration, attendees will reconnect with their and#8220;inner creativeand#8221; while exploring the great outdoors, enjoying healthy, delicious food and having a playful get-away. This retreat is designed to be a creative, hands-on, intimate event. All levels of artists are encouraged to attend. No experience necessary; just a desire to learn and play creatively.

and#8220;This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone to spend a weekend rejuvenating their creative spirit in one of the most beautiful places on the west coast,and#8221; said Sarah Stevenson, founder of the event.



Featured artists at the retreat include award winning illustrator, artist and author Denice Barlow Brown; Marisa Anne, the artist and blogger behind Creative Thursday, whose art is sold at major retailers including Urban Outfitters, Papyrus and Land of Nod; painter, designer and artist Liz Kalloch and registered interior designer and avid photographer Sarah Stevenson.
