Cub Scouts honored with Arrow of Light

On Saturday May 3 five Truckee Cub Scouts “-John Andrews IV “Quad,”Alexander Breuch, Joe Ketron, Ryan Livingstone and Nic Trim from Pack 734 were honored.

Each worked his way through Cub Scouting earning all ranks of Tiger, Bobcat, Wolf, Bear, Webelos and now the Arrow of Light. This is the highest award a boy can earn in Cub Scouts, and the only one he can wear on his Boy Scout uniform.

Performing this ceremony were the Coyote Night Dancers, who presided over this ceremony with Native American storytelling of how the scout grows, and also with dances such as “The Fluff Dance,” “Flight of the Eagle” and “Spear and Shield.” This team performs yearly at the local Boy Scout Camp in Chester, Calif.
