Darcy Norman PT, ATC, CSCS named training director at Tahoe Forest Physical Therapy
TAHOE/TRUCKEE, Calif. andamp;#8212; Tahoe Forest Physical Therapy announces the appointment of Darcy Norman PT, ATC, CSCS as its new performance training director. In 2003 Norman worked with world-renown Athletesandamp;#8217; Performance, the leader in integrated performance training, nutrition, and physical therapy for elite and professional athletes. In 2007, he became a strength coach and consultant for Team Columbia Pro Cycling, now Team HTC/Columbia andamp;#8212; the most winning team in pro cycling and ranked number one in the world by Eurosport. In 2008, Darcy signed on as the fitness and rehabilitation specialist with FC Bayern Mnchen Pro Soccer Team, the 2009/2010 Bundesliga champions, DFB Pokal champions and EUFA Championandamp;#8217;s league finalists. After receiving his Physical Therapy degree from the University of Washington, Norman co-owned and managed Olympic Physical Therapy in Mercer Island, Wash.He then joined Athletesandamp;#8217; Performance in Tempe, Ariz. and in 2003 was one of two team members sent to Carson, Calif. to open APandamp;#8217;s second state-of- the-art facility at the Home Depot Center. He worked with a dedicated team of health care and performance professionals who seamlessly integrated to efficiently and ethically enhance athletesandamp;#8217; performance around the world. Normanandamp;#8217;s knowledge of biomechanics, pre- and post-rehabilitation and performance testing is derived from dedication to continued education and years developing personal therapy philosophies. These stem from work with health care professionals; professional and amateur athletic teams; independent collegiate and Olympic performers; weekend warriors and up and coming athletes.
