Downtown Truckee First Friday is on

TRUCKEE, Calif. andamp;#8212; In the spirit of community, the Truckee Downtown Merchants Association will host its monthly andamp;#8220;First Fridayandamp;#8221; event this Friday, June 1, 5- 8 p.m. in downtown Truckee. All are welcome and encouraged to attend this free community event. As with every first Friday of the month, participating downtown shops and restaurants will offer a range of complementary activities, art, music, food, drinks and more. Participating businesses will include Mo, Jo andamp; Zoe; Bespoke; White Buffalo; Gratitudes Gifts andamp; Home Dcor; Riverside Studios; La Galleria; and more. All participating merchants and eateries will display andamp;#8220;First Fridayandamp;#8221; flags. This Fridayandamp;#8217;s theme, around which special activities and offerings will be based, is andamp;#8220;June Bloom.andamp;#8221; Several participating businesses will distribute seeds for planting your summer garden. Fridayandamp;#8217;s event will also include an artist opening for Sue Duerkson at Riverside Studios; live music and a local jam tasting of Twin Peaks Jams at Bespoke; and more. Free parking will be available downtown after 5 p.m. Following Fridayandamp;#8217;s event, TDMAandamp;#8217;s First Friday festivities will continue to take place each month throughout the year in downtown Truckee.The Truckee Downtown Merchants Association is a nonprofit association of businesses in Truckee working for the economic, social, cultural and environmental vitality of Historic Downtown Truckee.
