Electronics recycling

The Town of Truckee and Suddenlink Communications will sponsor free recycling of electronic appliances Saturday at the Truckee Town Hall, 10183 Truckee Airport Road.

The event will be held in the back parking lot from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Items suitable for recycling include computers, monitors, keyboards, laptops, TV’s, cell phones, MP3 players, cameras and video recorders.

“This is about getting these goods out of our garages and recycling them,” said Nichole Dorr, the town’s recycling coordinator. “It’s not about refurbishing them.”
