Elijah Bleu’s in Truckee to host artist reception

TRUCKEE – In its ongoing endeavor to provide both good juju and great java, Truckee’s Elijah Bleu’s House of Coffee and Good Eats has been the temporary gallery showcasing the work of local artist Alice Baldwin, whose exhibit promotes the use of the arts as an emotional healing tool.

The closing reception will be held on Thursday, Aug. 5, 4-6 p.m. Baldwin will be on hand to answer questions about her work and the folks at Elijah Bleu’s will be serving free beer and wine samples.

“Art Therapy can be used with great effect,” noted Baldwin. “I am always looking for healthy and productive outlets for the fears, anxieties, imaginations and fantasies that reflect inner life. Creative activities can help people identify their own inner dialogue, and see beauty in the most challenging times.”

As if art, beer and wine aren’t incentive enough, attendees who ride their bikes to Truckee Thursdays or the reception are eligible to receive a coupon for a free 12-ounce Elijah Bleu’s French press coffee when they park their rides at Cyclepaths’ newest location, 10200 Donner Pass Road.

Elijah Bleu’s is located at 10115 Donner Pass Road in Truckee, Calif. In the historic Loading Dock building. For more information, visit http://www.ElijahBleus.com, e-mail info@elijahbleus.com or call 582-1040.
