Excellence in Education and Wells Fargo Home Mortgage to honor Truckee-Tahoe donors, teachers and staff

TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; The Tahoe Truckee Excellence in Education Foundation will host its annual recognition event to honor its donors, the Linda Brown Fellows and Star award recipients and acknowledge a year of successful partnerships, Friday, Sept. 24.

and#8220;We could not provide much-needed financial support to our schools without the help of our loyal donors and community supporters,and#8221; explained Laura Brown, Executive Director of Excellence in Education. and#8220;This event is our way of recognizing many of the truly remarkable people that go above and beyond to support our kids and schools.and#8221;

The event is open to the public and will be held at Northstar-at-Tahoe. Attendees will be treated to a performance by the North Tahoe High School Jazz Band as well as heavy appetizers, a no-host bar and grant recipient displays. Tickets are $30 per person. The Linda Brown Fellows Awards recognize district teachers who go above and beyond in fulfilling their potential as an educator, show exceptional merit or talent, provide truly outstanding academic programs, and are extraordinarily innovative and creative. The Star Awards recognize support staff, including secretaries, librarians, custodians and others who also go above and beyond in fulfilling their positions, making a positive difference, and providing truly outstanding support.
