Forty industry representatives from Africa, Europe, South America, Australia, New Zealand, Russia, Mexico and the United States took part in entertaining and educating local children and their families about their countryandamp;#8217;s culture and customs.andamp;#8220;Each year the format of our executive retreat is designed to build on a series of moments, which culminate with our corporate social responsibility (CSR) component,andamp;#8221; said Lynda Baum, president of Exclusive Destinations. This yearandamp;#8217;s CSR program featured a lineup of activities including a world cup obstacle course, cookie flag decorating, world coin bingo, world beat drums, geographic word find, andamp;#8220;say helloandamp;#8221; language lessons and more. Activities highlighted language, music, food and customs from all over the world. Each child participant received a passport, which was stamped at each activity. As they departed, the children were awarded a T-shirt from the country of their choice. As a grand finale, three new bicycles donated from a local corporate sponsor were raffled off. The Executive Retreat took place Oct. 6-8, at The Ritz-Carlton Highlands, Lake Tahoe. It featured, in addition to the CSR component, a variety of business conferences devoted to personal and professional development including strategic business discussions, management sessions and exercises.
