Rev. Kathleen Mahoney
ALL |

TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; With her first sermon Sunday, July 3 at Church of the Mountains United Methodist Church, Rev. Kathy Mahoney will find a new home and a congregation with open arms and hearts. Rev. Mahoney comes to Church of the Mountains after serving UMC churches in Kernville, Windsor and Petaluma. Raised in Michigan and first attending college there, she soon moved west and earned a masterand#8217;s in business administration from Santa Clara University and a elementary multi-subject teaching credential at California State University, San Jose. Believing God used this journey in business and education to prepare her for the ministry, she went on to earn a masterand#8217;s in divinity at San Francisco Theological Seminary. As pastor at Church of the Mountains, Rev. Mahoney will carry on with the practice of being a church that invites all to worship and learn of Christand#8217;s love. No matter where on a spiritual path you may be, unsure and confused or cultivating a mature relationship with the Lord, all are welcome to join in the journey with Church of the Mountains. Worship service is held every Sunday at 9 a.m. with Sunday school for preschool and elementary aged children. Infant care is also offered. Church of the Mountains is located at 10079 Church St. in Downtown Truckee. More information may be gathered at http://www.churchofthemountains.com.
