First Friday: Riverside Studios hosts reception in new digs
Special to the Sun
TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; Riverside Studios would like to thank our local community for all of your support over the past seven and a half years. And we would like to announce that with your support we have finally made it to commercial row!
Our vision started as a small artists studio on Riverside Drive seven years ago. Our next move was to a large warehouse on West River where we invited more than 10 working artists and grew into a co-op of creativity. The past three years we have been creating an artists enclave in the Brickelltown district of Truckee where we regularly hosted events and welcomed local artists to sell their goods.
Our new space sits right next to the Squeeze In. We couldnand#8217;t be happier to announce our move to you and are sure you will love our new space. We secured ourselves a piece of Truckeeand#8217;s Historic real estate and have transformed it into a beautiful gallery.
We have added to our team with this move and are excited to introduce you to our three new artists. From our humble beginnings on Riverside Drive to our new digs on commercial row, you have been our steadfast friends and followers.
Please help us celebrate this historic (for us) move by joining us for First Friday, Aug. 6, 4-8 p.m. This will be an opening for the hanging show by Mary Kenny and Chris Crossen. There will be music, refreshments and as always a fresh perspective on art. Riverside Studios is now located at 10060 Donner Pass Road, 587-3789 riversideartstudios.com.
