‘Food Men Love’ signing Friday

Author Margie Lapanja of Incline Village will be signing copies of her newest cookbook, “Food Men Love,” at Bookshelf at Hooligan Rocks on Friday, Feb. 9 from 4 to 7 p.m.

Lapanja will also share insights and recipes from her other books, “Goddess in the Kitchen” and “The Goddess’ Guide to Love.”

“Food Men Love,” a lively tribute to favorite men and their favorite foods, is a cookbook anthology spiced up with dishes from celebrities induding Tom Cruise, Michael Jordan, John Elway, Paul Newman, Bob Weir and others.

The book is rich with classic recipes, food lore, historical tidbits, tried-and-true aphrodisiacs, and profiles of many respected epicures and interesting men.

Food enthusiast Margie Lapanja is a former professional baker, magazine food editor, and former owner of Margie’s Cowboy Cookies in Tahoe City. She has appeared nationally on television and radio demonstrating her trade secrets and discussing food and love. Lapanja also pens the lifestyle column “Aphrodite’s Afterthoughts: A Light Look at Life,” which appears online and in several West Coast publications. She resides in Incline Village with her husband and daughter.
