TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; A California Highway Patrol volunteer passes a drink to a trucker during Trucker Appreciation Day. The Donner Pass Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Facility will host the sixth annual Trucker Appreciation Day, Aug. 24, 8 a.m.-2 p.m., Donner Pass Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Facility (Truckee scales) Interstate 80 westbound, east of Truckee. Enjoy the day with them to recognize the efforts of the professional truck driver. There will be free food and refreshments, driver safety and industry information, displays and presentations by members of the commercial industry and law enforcement.
