Free small business seminar | How to grow your business online

Special to the Sun

KINGS BEACH, Calif. – North Tahoe Business Association and Charter Business will present a free small business seminar, “How To Grow Your Business Online,” Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, 8-9:30 a.m. at the North Tahoe Event Center in Kings Beach.

Everybody is searching, shopping and viewing things online, so why not present your business through the medium that is garnering the most attention? Local business owner and e-commerce professional David Polivy will talk about what makes a good website, how to get found on the Internet, how to make your website better and how to optimize your business for searchers. Bring your questions, your existing website (if one exists) and an appetite to learn about what is new, exciting and easy to implement for your business. Polivy is the owner of Tahoe Mountain Sports, a successful outdoor gear website and store. He started TahoeMountainSports.com as an online operation in 2004 and opened the store in Kings Beach in 2007.

Register at http://ntbaseminar2.eventbrite.com. The free seminar includes complimentary breakfast for attendees who register online by Feb. 3. Breakfast is available on a first-come, first served basis.

North Tahoe Business Association and Charter Business will offer additional free small business seminars in May and September 2013; specific date, time and topics to be announced.
