Fund-raiser for diabetes
Mai Tai Madness will take place every Tuesday through April 3 at Jake’s On the Lake. It will run from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The lounge and bar are decorated in a Hawaiian fashion with tikis and palm fronds. The staff is brightly dressed in aloha shirts and flower lais. Mai Tais and Blue Hawaiian cocktails are priced at $3.50 and a number of Hawaiian appetizers are half off.
A raffle takes place three times a night. All the proceeds benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation via the Wayne Wong celebrity ski weekend held in April.
During Mai Tai Madness raffle tickets may be purchased one for a $1 or seven for $5.
The goal of Mai Tai Madness is to raise $5,000 for the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and to eventually make this into an annual event. For more information, call 583-0188.
