Gaunt-Zimmer Design, a Truckee-based architectural firm, has rolled out a stylish new Web site that reflects the company’s imaginative approach.

“We have become more sophisticated since we designed the old Web site six years ago,” explains principal architect Pamela Zimmer. “CLM Design from Reno did a great job in capturing our firm’s philosophy and spirit.”

According to Zimmer, the Web site redesign has been a six-month process. “When our team was discussing the message, we always came back to the word: relationship. We are very team-oriented and we wanted to focus on that aspect.”

One of the site’s most ingenious aspects is the interactive team page. Click on each team member’s name and the person’s photo silhouette comes alive, walking to the page’s center next to his or her biography.

Zimmer adds that as with any talented team, there is a human synergy at Gaunt-Zimmer Design. The sum of its parts is surely greater than the whole.

Zimmer is quick to note that the firm won’t be pigeonholed into any design style or project profile.

In particular, the architecture firm is known for its work in regional healthcare facilities. The new Tahoe Forest Cancer Center in Truckee is a body of work the firm is especially proud of, which focused on a warm spirit of healing and wellness rather than a sterile hospital atmosphere.

Zimmer says the firm welcomes the opportunity to share information and discuss future projects. Visit GZDarchitects.com or phone 587-0900. Gaunt-Zimmer Design is located at 12219 Business Park Dr., Ste. 13, Truckee.
