Get in gear with LUNA Chix

Tweak your riding technique and have a lot of fun with the Tahoe LUNA Chix free mountain bike clinics during Wanderlust Saturday, July 25 and Sunday, July 26. The Tahoe LUNA Chix will be hosting free one-hour clinics at Wanderlust (participants need not be Wanderlust ticket holders) starting at 11 a.m. each day. Bring your bike and smile to participate; no experience necessary.

Filled with stories of reflection and whimsy, hope and humor, grace and perseverance, LUNAFEST films are renowned for celebrating the talents and stories of women. Catch these empowering films in the Alpenglow Room at Squaw Valley starting at 8:45 p.m. Saturday, July 25. The program will last approximately two hours with a raffle for great prizes from Keen, Mountainsmith, LUNA and more at the beginning of the program. Suggested donation $5. All proceeds go to benefit the Breast Cancer Fund.

The Tahoe LUNA Chix have partnered up with National Mountain Bike Champion Marla Streb for a Women’s Only Downhill Clinic to be held at Northstar Saturday, Aug. 22 and Sunday, Aug. 23. The multi-talented Streb has defined the sport of women’s downhill mountain biking ever since she first started pedaling. In this clinic riders will have ample opportunity to improve their technical skills and riding ability. Beginners clinic will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22 and an intermediate/advanced clinic will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 22. Cost per person is $150 which includes personal instruction, mountain bike park lift ticket and lunch. All proceeds to benefit the Breast Cancer Fund. Space is limited.
