Girls on the Run – Sierras announces New Balance 5K | 10K Halloween Fun Run

TRUCKEE, Calif. – Girls on the Run – Sierras announced its New Balance 5K | 10K Fun Run will take place Sunday, Oct. 30, at the Truckee River View Sports Park, 12200 Joerger Drive, Truckee (near the Truckee airport off of Soaring Way). Runners of all ages are encouraged to come out in their Halloween best and enjoy this family friendly community event. The day’s festivities will include music, a costume contest, and a post race barbecue with food for purchase. Participating in this event is a fun way to enjoy the Halloween weekend while supporting a program that inspires Truckee-Tahoe area girls to be healthy, joyful and confident.

Girls on the Run New Balance 5K | 10K Halloween Fun Run Details

Men, women and children are invited, no dogs please. Registration opens at 8:30 a.m.; pre-race festivities at 9 a.m.; 10K start at 9:30 a.m. and 5K start at 10 a.m. Barbecue lunch will immediately follow the run. The race follows the scenic Truckee River Legacy Trail.

Pre-registration prices: $25 for 5K, $35 for 10K. Children 5-12 are $10 and families of four are $50. Corporate teams of five are $75 for the 5K, and $100 for the 10K. Race day prices: $30 for 5K, $40 for 10K. Children 5 -12 are $15. Barbecue ticket costs $5. All registrants receive a Girls on the Run T-shirt and goodie bag.
