TAHOE/TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; What may seem to some as a small gesture is a huge act of kindness to the Meals on Wheels participants. Truckee Service Unit 631 Girl Scout Troop 189 had a fan who donated money for four cases of cookies. The generosity of one person was passed forward to 45 people.

Maybe a cookie is just a cookie to you, but the MOW participants very seldom receive and#8220;goodiesand#8221; and the cookie is just part of the gift, being thought of by the younger generation is a warm hug to the homebound seniors in the area.

Sierra Senior Services offers many thoughts for their thankfulness.
