On behalf of all our neighbors asking for help this winter, Tahoe Womenand#8217;s Services (TWS) and North Tahoe Family Resource Center (NTFRC) invite you to contribute to the Holiday Hope Program. The Holiday Hope Program serves clients of TWS and community members working with the NTFRC. The program pairs donors with community members to assist them with gifts and basic needs during the holidays. In the 2008 season, a total of 146 families were served by more than 65 donors!

Last year, with the start of the economic downturn, TWS and NTFRC observed families needed support extending beyond the holiday season. This year they are offering an additional outlet for donors wanting to make a lasting impact in the lives of families. Consider adopting a family for the holidays, and an extended amount of time. Donors may adopt a familyand#8217;s utility bill, grocery list, or rent for an amount of time to the donorand#8217;s choosing. By adopting a family in this manner you will assist in getting that family back on their feet.

Please consider adopting a family for the holidays, adopting a family for a few months, donating miscellaneous gifts, or donating directly to TWS or NTFRC. A caring heart can go a long way. Your help is needed in any way that you can give. The deadline for signing up as a donor or recipient is Dec. 1. Please contact Jessica and Cecilia at 546-7804 or Ana Liz at 546-0952 for more information.
