More than 900 people crammed into the Glenshire Elementary School gym Saturday, Dec. 5 to herald the holiday season with flapjacks, music and games, not to mention a chance to visit with the old jolly one himself.

A beloved Truckee tradition, the Holiday Breakfast with Santa is sponsored by the Glenshire Elementary School PTO. The estimated $4,000 of proceeds will fund programs such as after-school enrichment, field trips and Artists in Residence.

However, fundraising was not the main impetus behind this festive occasion where pancake-munching attendees were delighted by the resounding joy of the childrenand#8217;s choruses belting out Christmas classics.
