Golden Twilight Dinner a private peek at Tahoe’s Ehrman Mansion
WEST SHORE LAKE TAHOE, Calif. and#8212; Dramatic sunset, classic cars, lively jazz and exquisite food are just some of the highlights of the Sierra State Parks Foundationand#8217;s upcoming event to benefit local Tahoe Truckee area California state parks.
SSPFand#8217;s and#8220;Golden Twilight Dinnerand#8221; will be Sunday, July 18, at the Pine Lodge (aka Ehrman Mansion), at 5:30 p.m., after the mansion is closed to the public.
The event will invoke the feeling of a bygone day, Sierra State Parks Foundation Executive Director Marguerite Sprague said. and#8220;This evening offers a first-time-ever opportunity for the public to enjoy cocktails inside the mansion, followed by a sit-down dinner on the lawn. Weand#8217;ll have live jazz piano, and a display of historic cars. Attendees are encouraged to wear period dress, so plan for a Gatsby-like atmosphere.and#8221;
Jazz music will be provided by pianist Casey Filson, with vocals by Karli Martin. Grants from the Hellman Family Foundation and the North Lake Tahoe Chamber of Commerce make these events possible.
and#8220;At this time, the future of parks funding from the state is uncertain, and the role of the parks foundation has never been more important,and#8221; Sprague said. and#8220;Funds raised at these events will directly benefit our area parks, enabling them to continue their vital public mission.and#8221;
Tickets to the event are $130 per person for SSPF members, $150 for non-members. Tables that seat up to 10 are available for the Pine Lodge event for $1,200 for SSPF members, $1,400 for non-members.
