Goods for Service: Sending goodwill overseas

TAHOE/TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; This holiday season letand#8217;s honor our troops by donating small items to be sent to Afghanistan and Iraq. Donations will be accepted until Nov. 21. One hundred percent of all donations are used to fill and ship the boxes.

Here are items to fill the boxes:

Baby wipes, powdered drink mixes, socks, double and#8220;AAand#8221; batteries, toothpaste, toothbrushes and floss, deodorant, hand sanitizer, chap stick, foot powder, razors, hand lotion, sun screen, wipes for glasses, cotton swabs, snack mix, trail mix, granola bars, crackers, cookies, hard candy, peanut brittle, fruit snacks, vacuum packed tuna, decks of cards, DVDs, crossword puzzles, magazines, books, writing paper and pens and international phone cards (so they can call home).



Donations are tax deductible and can be dropped off or mailed to:

Cash donations are needed to help pay for shipping costs and to purchase additional goods. Checks should be made out to and#8220;Goods for Servicesand#8221; and dropped off at any Plumas Bank branch, or mailed to: and#8220;Goods for Services,and#8221; c/o Coldwell Banker Select at the above address.
