Grateful for funding grant

George LeBard, Executive Director, Project M.A.N.A.

To the editor:

Project M.A.N.A. staff and Board of Directors would like to thank all involved in making this year’s Thanksgiving food distribution a big success. Everyone did a tremendous job in helping to feed over 400 individuals from 132 households in Truckee alone.

Project M.A.N.A. acknowledges and appreciates donations from several businesses: Lahontan, Northstar, Squaw Creek Resort, Tahoe Donner Association, Truckee Safeway for reduced priced turkeys, Albertsons for donation of produce, Andy’s Truckee Diner, Pacific Crest Restaurant, Casa Baeza, El Toro Bravo, Round Table Pizza, Truckee Trattoria, Taco Station and Lisa’s Organics.

Project M.A.N.A. also appreciates the numerous monetary donations from private donors and food drives held by Sunrise Rotary, Assumption Catholic Church, Truckee Lutheran Church, Tahoe Forest Hospital, Placer Sierra Bank, Glenshire Elementary, Truckee Elementary, Sierra Mountain Middle School, Tahoe Truckee High School, Prosser Creek Charter School and the Boy Scouts.

To every volunteer: you are wonderful, and know in your heart that this year each of you made a difference.
