Gymnastics Camp | Flip this summer
TAHOE/TRUCKE, Calif. andamp;#8212; Truckee Gymnastics is pleased to announce their summer gymnastics camp for children ages 6+. See what all the fun is about. Your child will learn new and exciting skills quickly and have an amazing time. Sign up early, camps fill fast. Students work on body positions, stretches, flexibility, balance, strength, floor (tumbling), rope climb, bar, vault, beam, rings, stall bars, Tumbl Trak and trampoline. Curriculum follows the USA Gymnastics Levels 1-5 and USAG safety guidelines.Skills include: cartwheels (floor and low beam), headstand, handstand (floor and vault), press handstand, round off, straddle hang, forward and backward rolls (floor and beam), dive rolls, back extension roll, straddle jump, tuck jump, seat drop, bridge (kick over), back walkover, scale, pivot turn, re-grips, pull over, cast, back hip circle, glide swing and handstand block off springboard. Level 3-5 skills also include: fly spring, front walk over, front hip circle, stride/mill circle, sole circle, tap swing, kips, flyaway, back/front handspring (floor and vault), handstand (walk, pirouette and bars), hurdle, cartwheels (high beam and aerials).Camp includes gymnastics, crafts, team-building, nutrition education, lots of fun and more. The week ends with a final demonstration presentation for family and friends on Friday. Swim optionA swim and new dive option is available every afternoon Monday-Thursday, 1:30-2:30 p.m. with transportation provided to the community pool. Talented coaches like Betsy Hansen TTST swim coach; Nate Conrad-Forrest TTST and recreation center swim coach and Liz Robinson, recreation center dive coach and Illinois State dive champion will provide fabulous swim and dive instruction.Contact Truckee Gymnastics andamp; My Playground at 530-587-7404 or email@example.com for dates and cost.
