Harvest and Halloween celebration at Truckee Elementary School

TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; Truckee Elementary School hosted their annual Back to School night on Sept. 21, celebrating the California Academic Performance Index, which went up 19 points. They remain a high performing school with an Academic Performance Index of 836. Support the school at the annual Pumpkin Patch celebration, 11911 Donner Pass Road, Oct. 16, 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. There will be something for everyone including a haunted house, pony rides, a labyrinth, a petting zoo, a Dia de los Muertos demonstration and much more. Admission is free and tickets for games start at $1. Find an array of carnival booths: Slime the witch, football throw, spider hockey, gold fish toss, haunted house, cake walk, mini golf, petting zoo featuring a baby llama and a baby donkey, and pony rides. The newest booths will be a mini RC track, life size maze, Dia de los Muertos to make sugar candy skulls. Authentic Mexican food and pumpkins for sale from Bishops Pumpkin Farm.

Costumes are encouraged. Itand#8217;s a Halloween, harvest experience that you wonand#8217;t want to miss. Take pictures of your children as they enjoy a spectacular harvest event. Every dollar raised goes directly back to Truckee Elementary Schooland#8217;s classrooms. Keep Truckee green and bring a bag for your child’s prizes.
