TAHOE/TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; Are you looking for a local education option for your high school student?

Would you like to help design a high school program to fit your familyand#8217;s lifestyle and your studentand#8217;s specific needs?

Coldstream Alternative High School will host a parent/student forum to discuss secondary educational opportunities available through the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District at Rideout Community Center, 740 Timberland, Tahoe City, Tuesday, Jan. 24, 7 p.m.

This forum is being organized to gather community desires about scheduling, course offerings, post-high school expectations (career or college) and any other educational concerns. Coldstream Alternative is striving to address unmet educational opportunities for students by partnering with the community to develop curriculum that prepares students to be successful in the 21st century.

Coldstream Alternative is an alternative school within the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District. It is WASC accredited and offers UC A-G classes with state credentialed, highly qualified teachers. Presently, Coldstream is actively involved with Sierra College and offers Fast Track options for high school students.
