Ho’o Ponopono | Discover your divine nature at For Goodness Sake in Truckee

Special to the Sun

TRUCKEE, Calif. – Discover the Hawaiian method to align the conscious, sub-conscious and higher conscious mind, improve all your relationships, manifest your heart’s desire, with an introductory talk Feb. 15, 6:30-8:30 p.m. and workshop Feb. 16, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at For Goodness Sake in Truckee.

When Capt. Cook landed in Kealakekua Bay, he did not notice the thousands of Hawaiians living together in harmony. Part of the reason Hawaiians were able to live peacefully in close quarters was their use of Ho’o Ponopono. Learned while young and applied throughout their lives, Ho’o Ponopono was an invaluable part of the Hawaiian community. Now this powerful tool for healing will be carefully explained by Michael Goddard and practical application done in class.

Explore this ancient Hawaiian method of conflict resolution and clearing of the sub-conscious. Goddard will present in depth coverage of various styles of Ho’o Ponopono during his introductory talk on Friday. Used to raise the vibration in your relations with people, places and things, Ho’o Ponopono used to clear the sub-conscious of negative programs, limiting beliefs and deeply rooted trauma. This opens the way for bringing the high vibration of the higher conscious mind into the sub-conscious and daily life.

Introduction to Ho’o Ponopono will include how it evolved, how it has been used in Hawaii, possible applications in your life and an explanation of deeper meanings. Review the Ho’o Ponopono script. Learn about the different types of Ho’o Ponopono and how Goddard was tasked by his elders (kupuna) to share the cultural teachings. The evening will end with a meditation and Hawaiian chant.

Saturday’s workshop, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., with a one-hour lunch break, starts with a chant and ‘Ha’ breathing. Then, learn about the different types of Ho’o Ponopono in more detail. Learn about the “Aka” cord connection and the Hawaiian philosophy of Uhane, unihipili, and amakua (the conscious, unconscious and super conscious minds.) Practice and experience the Ho’o Ponopono session and apply it to different aspects of your life. The goal is to clear the sub-conscious of limiting beliefs and trauma and to bring the Aumakua/super mind/ Higher Self into everyday living. The workshop will close with a Hawaiian chant.
