How much wood could a woodchuck chuck?

If that woodchuck is Jimmy Clewes, master woodturner, you have the opportunity to find out Thursday, June 4 at the Nevada Woodchucks Shop, 1725 S. McCarren Blvd., Reno during a free demonstration.

Clewes has more than 22 years experience in woodturning and woodworking and is in demand for demonstrations and instructions worldwide. He is on the Register of Professional Woodturners in the United Kingdom and a member of the American Association of Woodturners.

The event is sponsored by the Nevada Woodchucks, a non-profit educational organization (501-C3) of men and women dedicated to teaching the skills of woodworking in the Northern Nevada and California region. The club recognized not everyone who has a woodworking interest can have stationary power tools and a home woodshop. There are meeting nights for those interested in carving, toy making, wood turning, scroll sawing, or just learning more about woodworking tools and techniques. Contact Information Officer Gene Welch at 587-6624 or visit http://www.nevadawoodchucks.org.
