Ignite All Star Cheer Athletics takes honors, offers open gym

TAHOE/TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; Two Truckee locals took part in the American National Cheer Competition in Anaheim, Calif. Malia Pope and Megan Darzynkiewicz competed on two of the four teams from Ignite All Star Cheer Athletics. The Truckee residents have competed in five Northern California competitions before arriving in Anaheim.

Ignite was awarded the only Sportsmanship Award, two first place National Champion awards and two Superior Awards. Competitors traveled from England, Canada, Chicago, Arizona, Washington, Utah, Nevada and California.

Ignite Cheer All Star Athletics invites all athletes ages 5-18 to a free open gym, 9475 Double R Blvd., #23, Reno, Nev. for a day of stunting, tumbling and Ignite country fun, Tuesday, April 24, 4-7 p.m. Call 775-851-9355 or visit http://www.ignitecheer.com.
