InnerRhythms GALA Performance on the Beach in Kings Beach

TAHOE/TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; InnerRhythms Dance Theatre and RhythMatriX proudly present their 9th annual Concert GALA Wednesday July 20, 8 p.m., behind the North Tahoe Event Center in Kings Beach. and#8220;Rhythms of Changeand#8221; is a high energy, eclectic performance of dance and music as told through the words and music of Michael Jackson. Each original work will represent a different dance style and evoke a different emotion.

The inspiration for this performance is based on an ancient Chinese belief: and#8220;An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet, regardless of time, place, or circumstance. The thread may stretch or tangle, but never break.and#8221;

The pieces will be woven together with the red thread symbolizing the heartbeat or life blood that connects us to humanity. InnerRhythms is proud to premiere two student pieces, and#8220;Beat It,and#8221; choreographed by Micaela Plumb and and#8220;Black or White,and#8221; choreographed by Jack Blackmon. InnerRhythmsand#8217; mission is to use the power of dance and music to cultivate life skills in our youth, promote global stewardship, and create an everlasting passion for the arts in the communities we serve. By providing a platform for student work, we offer expression to our mission.

Pre-show entertainment will begin at 7 p.m. with music by Daniel Sturtevant. Bring a beach chair or blanket and a picnic for an unforgettable evening.
