Joe Coffee moves to south side of Commercial Row

Staff reportsAfter four and a half years in the coffee business in downtown Truckee, Joe Coffee has moved across the street.The lease of the former, smaller location was up in June, said owner Cass Rodriguez. Now, Joe Coffee is in a larger location at 10191 Donner Pass Road, next to Thousand Mile Clothing Store.”It was one of those things that happened for a reason, and we’re very happy about it,” Rodriguez said of the move. “It’s nice to have space for people to hang out.”The new location will offer a full-service delicatessen with breakfast and lunch in addition to its gourmet coffee and tea menu. The space has more seating, games and a mural by Riverside Gallery artist Phig.Joe Coffee will also have WiFi access soon, Rodriguez said.Joe Coffee is open Monday through Friday, 5:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Food and drink orders are accepted via phone at 550-8222 or fax 550-8521.
