Johnathan L. Zordell of Truckee graduates with honors from United States Military Academy

WEST POINT, N.Y. and#8212; Johnathan L. Zordell, formally of Truckee and Verdi, Nev. graduated with honors May 21, 2011 from the United States Military Academy at West Point, N.Y.-He was commissioned as a Lieutenant in the United States Army and will be posted to Fort Rucker, Ala. for helicopter pilot training. He earned an honors diploma in mechanical engineering. Out of 1,090 graduating cadets, he was the number one ranked cadet in mechanical engineering. He was also singularly honored with three awards for the highest degree of excellence in engineering.
