Kid’s Day America just outside of South Lake Tahoe

Gather your entire family! On Saturday, May 16, 2009, Meyers, Calif. will be host to Kid’s Day America and Green Family Fair, a national day of health, safety and environmental awareness, brought to you by the National Chiropractors Association.

This fun-filled family event includes free health checks for children courtesy of Safe Haven Chiropractic. Free fingerprinting and fire safety lessons will be given by the CHP and South Lake Tahoe/Lake Valley FD’s finest.

The Green Families Fair will include a variety of exciting features. This event will feature a Green Living Expo, a Green Families Fashion Show, a Cool Reads Kid’s Corral, a Kid’s Only garage sale (with nothing over a dollar), climbing wall and more.

The mini Expo will host booths ranging from organic food and fair trade fashions, to sustainable building, home and garden, alternative energy, recreation, transportation, education and more.

A speaker’s series with local health and sustainability professionals will provide and excellent retreat for parents interested in learning more about living green. Twenty-minute presentations will begin each hour and half hour, from 10:30 a.m. through 3 p.m.
