Kings Beach gearing up for July 3rd show
KINGS BEACH, Calif. andamp;#8212; The North Tahoe Business Association (NTBA) is busy gearing up for a fun filled July 4th weekend with great events starting July 1 in Kings Beach.Music on the Beach kicks off Friday, July 1, 6:30 -8:30 p.m. Get your beach chairs and dancin’ shoes ready for some great music in Kings Beach. The opening show features The Blues Monsters.The Beth Weber Arts andamp; Crafts Show takes place July 1, 2, 3 and 4, KBSRA in the Plaza. Stroll through the arts and crafts show while enjoying the great view.The July 3 Fireworks show is a North Tahoe tradition hosted by NTBA year after year. The show starts at dusk, approximately 9:30 p.m. July 3 at the Kings Beach State Recreation Area, located in downtown Kings Beach. The fireworks can be viewed for free from the one-quarter mile of public sandy beach, as well as from other venues along the North Shore and from boats on the water. Again this year, the NTBA is hosting a special Deck Party at the North Tahoe Event Center. Tickets for entry to the event are $10 ($15 at the door that evening) for adults and $5 for children 4-11. Ticket holders will enjoy live music featuring Downbeat, food booths offering casual dining options for $4 – $6, a no host bar and the best VIP viewing area for the show. The doors to the event center open at 6:30 p.m. for the deck party. Tickets are on sale now at the NTBA office, 8318 N. Lake Blvd., Kings Beach.Costs continue to go up for firework shows so the NTBA will be selling July 3rd T-shirts to help raise funds and generate support. In addition, donation buckets will be available around town so community members and visitors can help support this event.
