Lake Tahoe Restaurant Week launches website

NORTH LAKE TAHOE and#8212; Lake Tahoeand#8217;s most delicious week is showcased on the recently launched Lake Tahoe Restaurant Week website, http://www.TahoeRestaurantWeek.com.

The inaugural event is slated for Sunday, Sept. 5 (Labor Day weekend) through Sunday, Sept. 12, when the areaand#8217;s finest restaurants will prepare delectable three-course prix-fix menus (both lunch and dinner), utilizing the best in organic, seasonal and local ingredients, for $20, $30 and $40 per person. There are no passes, tickets or coupons needed to take part in Lake Tahoe Restaurant Week.

Restaurants offering up delicious dishes include well-established dining establishments, old favorites, and those who have opened their doors in the last few years, including wine bars, bistros and eateries in mountain locales and lakeside venues.

On the website, food aficionados will find a list of participating restaurants, including a click-thru to the dining establishmentand#8217;s individual site, along with their physical location and contact information for reservations. Lake Tahoe Restaurant Week menus will be posted July 1, as participating chefs are developing entrees that take advantage of the best ingredients from the summer harvest.

Travelers can find answers to their frequently asked questions about the event, special Lake Tahoe Restaurant Week lodging packages and a list of Restaurant Week sponsors on the site. A special blog was also created to profile the Lake Tahoe chefs behind the food and their philosophy in delivering the best in mountain cuisine.

There is also a resource page for participating restaurants that explains the campaign and how best to maximize their participation.

Journalists will find a page dedicated especially for them, under media, that highlights current news releases and public relations contacts for story ideas, images and press trips.

The Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority, Lake Tahoe South Shore Chamber of Commerce, North Lake Tahoe Visitors Bureaus and the North Lake Tahoe Chamber of Commerce are presenting sponsors of the event.
