Letter to the Editor: Aviation consultant doesn’t speak for pilots

In a recent story regarding an unknown and#8220;group of out-of-areaand#8221; pilots hiring a Mr. Jon Rodgers in and#8220;hoping to challengeand#8221; the airports new flight tracking and noise-reducing measures, I say hogwash!

Who is this person anyway? I’ll tell you what I found and that he is a self-invented aviation consultant who misrepresents himself as someone he is not. The Indiana County of Hamilton Board of Aviation Commissioners had to hand this person a cease and desist order to stop interfering with their goodwill at a newly acquired airport in 2003.

We local pilots have worked hard to cooperate with the community to fly quieter and safer, and we don’t need this kind of disturbance and#8212; especially not on the front page.
