Letter to the editor: Can do vs. Should do

Roger Huff
Tahoe City

“Just because you can do something does not mean that you should do it!” My parents reminded me of this more than once, but then they lived in a time when people were more concerned with honor and integrity than with what they may be able to get away with through legal loopholes.

It takes more moral courage and conviction to do what is right than it does to seek opinions of what might be legally permissible. This timeless principle applies to individuals, executives, boards, and even politicians; and it matters to those of us who still believe that character counts.

Do you?
