Letter to the editor: Disagreeing with the dog letter

Astrid Gulbrandsen
Olympic Valley

From a letter printed in the May 8 issue of the Sierra Sun comes the line “… dogs are an eyesore.” Geez, how rude is that!

Sure owners have to reign in their dogs, but to not allow having good-natured dogs with good-natured owners on certain segments of Lake Tahoe is just snobby.

The extreme bent of publishing that letter on May 8 seems to me that the paper is looking for controversy. Hence, my extreme note back.

Let’s hope people can be more moderate and accepting in nature. Dogs are a lovely part of nature and hold very special places in the hearts of their owners.
